The laser sight is a very useful tool for gauging accuracy and increasing hit on target. These are usually small attachments that throw a laser beam from the firearm parallel with the barrel, such that it tracks the line a fired bullet may travel. The shooter can then adjust for bullet drop, wind, and other such influences while maintaining a visual point of reference. Even at very long ranges, the concentration of light from the laser will show a small dot of light on the intended target. Laser sights are typically used with both eyes open.
