The Taser® X26™ ECD uses a replaceable cartridge containing compressed nitrogen to deploy two small probes that are attached to the X26 by insulated conductive wires with a maximum length of 35 feet (10.6 meters). The X26 transmits electrical pulses through the wires and into the body affecting the sensory and motor functions of the peripheral nervous system. The energy can penetrate up to two cumulative inches of clothing, or one inch per probe. The X26 comes with free data management on EVIDENCE.COM™.

MOSSBERG and TASER International have joined forces to produce the TASER® X12™ LLS, utilizing a re-engineered Mossberg 500 pump-action shotgun optimized for the TASER® XREP™ R series. The TASER® X-Rail™ mounting system also enables integration of the TASER® X26™ Electronic Control Device (ECD) for close engagements. (TASER X26 is sold separately) The TASER X12 includes patent pending Radial™ Ammunition Key technology to prevent the system from deploying lethal 12GA rounds, eliminating the possibility of end users accidentally firing a lethal round in a less-lethal system. In addition, the X12 incorporates a uniquely designed rifled barrel that optimizes the performance of the XREP round, ensuring an optimum spin rate, stabilization and accuracy.
